Freshjive was among the original brands to produce hip hop clothing and fashion. Freshjive was created in 1989 by Rick Klotz and friends as a response to the things they were interested in, such as skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, music, nightlife and the LA inner city lifestyle.
Freshjive is the first street wear company from Los Angeles, and is generally known as the first company to crystallize the genre of street wear, fusing the influence of action sports, inner city, and nightlife music.
